For any piper who is an Army veteran and performs at ceremonial events, this long-sleeved silvertan shirt by the Arizona Highway Patrol-approved manufacturer Martin’s Superior Uniform Group is perfect for your military-themed performances. It’s 75% polyester, 25% wool, machine washable and is in “like new” condition. It has two permanent military creases at front and three at rear. Whether at a veteran’s funeral or committal service, a Memorial Day observance or other patriotic event, when appearing as a piper this shirt is the ideal garment to add to your kilted outfit. You can sew and pin your own military insignia, decorations and badges in the appropriate locations, as shown on my separate listing for a short-sleeved tropical weight version with similar installed patches. The three cloth patches (bagpiper, flag, Army veteran) shown in the pictures here are included. (Click on the pictures to expand.) It can also be worn with a branch scarf, or with a brown or black long tie (I have both; ask me.) You can also add a shoulder cord (I have them in various colors) and either a black or appropriately colored branch scarf. I have several, as well as a reduced size Army officer’s cap insignia which fits perfectly on the cockade rosette of a glengarry. Ask me about these accessories.
For a deceased veteran’s solemn occasion I always ask the family if they wish me to appear in civilian dress or in Army veteran’s kilted attire; it’s an option they appreciate regardless of their choice. Postage for delivery within the U.S. adds $10. Payment can be by Zelle or PayPal. Thanks for looking.
