Fully combed and beaded 1940’s era set of R. G. Lawrie Bagpipes with imitation ferrules, projection mounts, ring caps and bushings. Wood is in excellent condition with a few knicks on the fittings, commensurate with an instrument of this age. At some point the bass middle was swapped out for piece with a wider bore, it is believed to be a Henry Stark, based on the turning detail and cut bead mount, but it is certainly of the same era. The stocks are not original to the set. Comes with a beefy Peter Henerson pipe chanter and a Kenneth Pettigrew poly chanter.
Asking $1,400 CDN/$1,000 USD, will ship at buyer’s expense.
