A beautiful set of 1940’s era Henry Starck button-mount parlour (7/8) bagpipes. The pipes are slightly smaller than a standard set, I have a picture of sections beside their full-size counterpart. The combing and beading are deep and well-defined. All parts are original, although the ring caps needed to be replaced and Dunbar did that work. The pipe chanter is stamped “Boosey & Hawkes Ltd. LONDON”, the retailer of the set. The ferrules have some tarnish and the chanter stock ferrule is a replacement that is a bit short. The set includes a brand new Bannatyne synthetic medium bag with tie-in cord, as the stocks are too narrow for modern grommet bags, and a new Beck blowpipe valve.
There is a wooden pipe case, but probably only feasible for a local sale. Will ship at buyer’s expense. Asking $650USD/$900CDN
