Lovely set of vintage Henderson pipes. All original including blowpipe (not cracked!), chanter (sole is cracked and glued together.) These bagpipes are believed to be the era between casein and catalin as one can see the differing materials used. The bass top had a slight crack but has been professionally repaired by Mr. Jeffers. Unlike many vintage bagpipes I believe the bores have never been touched. The stocks though were touched (Jeffers made them true.) As you can see they are extremely stable. Jeffers believes they are African Blackwood but the color of the grain is exemplary. Taking offers over 2.5k USD. It’s rare to find a bagpipe of this quality and sound in such an amazing state.
