Here for sale is a vintage set of Blackwood with Natural mounts with a leather pipebag and an R.G. Hardie water trap with aged Celtic ferrule. I have included a tuneable Bb plastic chanter by Kyle Campbell. This set is now playing in Bb as I prefer the lower older sound of the pipes. Sadly this is only for sale to UK pipers as the mounts forbid overseas posting. I made a short video of how they sound and to show the air-stop key that I have fitted into the chanter stock. I am an Uilleann piper and I always put this into my Highland pipes to help with the tuning of the drones and to quieten the chanter when I want to take a break. If this is not what you want, it would be very easy to remove and put a drop of glue or red wax over the small exit hole to keep the bag airtight. These older drones have a resonant and very bold sound, and are very stable and easy to play. The middle drone is a copy, also with Natural mount, by a top class Scottish pipe maker who thought these were Starck pipes. The patina of this new tenor drone will need time to match the others, but it plays as smooth and boldly as the other two– a real Umbrella of sound! Thanks for reading. p.s. You might be able to see a very short video of how the air-stop key works if you go to this: https://youtube.com/shorts/kDfgGnorzQA?si=xqnfKtDegkY9xoQ-
