Vintage Lawrie blackwood practice chanter with celluloid sole. Early Lawrie nickel ferrule with straight sides a with single- and double- scribe lines. The original split chanter top was repaired and is airtight. To avoid any future chanter top issues, I commissioned a duplicate top made of black Delrin and transferred the ferrule to this new top.
Note: the last picture (original chanter top) has a dark line running the length of the top…this is the crack that is sealed with a glue mixed with African Blackwood dust. The old top is now fully functional.
No splits or cracks otherwise. Chanter shows signs of careful use but not abuse.
