A lovely set of 1983 David Nail Blackwood bagpipes. Deep combing and beading with imitation ferrules, projection mounts, ring caps and bushings. The pipes are in great shape, I documented (see pics) where someone scratched an “A” in one of the tenor stocks, a paint mark on the chanter stock (to line up chanter) and a scratch in one of the tenor tops.
The set comes with a Bannatyne (M) zippered hide-synthetic bag, Ezeedrone reeds, a Dunbar Blackwood pipe chanter, zippered bag cover and matching cords. The original chanter is cracked, but I will include it as the sole could be used.
These pipes tune at 478 Hz on the hemp lines and have a big, bold sound that would be ideal for solo play.
Asking $1400 USD, will ship at buyer’s expense.
