Solid stand of 1960’s era Hugh Macpherson blackwood bagpipes, hand turned under the direction of Willie Bryson in their Edinburgh shop. These pipes are fulling combed and beaded, with Catalin projection mounts, ferrules, ring caps, bushings and chanter soles. The set is in great shape with one small split in a drone ring cap that has been sealed, a few knicks and scratches commensurate with their age and some staining on the stock ferrules (most likely old seasoning). Wood is crack free and bores are arrow straight.
Included are two Macpherson blackwood pipe chanters, a Pettigrew poly pipe chanter, chanter cap, Ezeedrone reeds, a long Ben Bhraggie poly practice chanter with countersunk holes and reed, a Canmore synthetic pipe bag (M), Little Mac blowpipe valve, bag cover and matching drone cords. Local sale will include a pipe case, willing to ship at buyer’s expense.
