The 480 chanters pitch in the upper 470’s to low 480’s. The standard pitch is actually the highest pitched of all these chanters and pitches easily around 485. Good to have these for a mix of situations and sounds. These chanters have all been played in G1 competitions and make great sound. I’ve had really good luck using G1 and EzeePC reeds in these chanters.
Chanters have threaded reed seats. Minimal carving on the 2023 ABW, otherwise they are uncarved.
The standard pitch poly chanter was made for a friend of mine as a ‘thank you’ from Warnock. It’s not easy to get this chanter in the US and it’s not for sale on their website.
